Good intentions change little without evidence — and at AIDI, the evidence has a champion: Onyewuchi Obirieze, our Research & Policy Director.
A writer, researcher, policy consultant and community worker, Onyewuchi is the author of 'Indigenous Spirituality — Discernment from Christian Missionary Activities in Nigeria'. He has demonstrated expertise in facilitation and in mentoring young adults on climate change, biodiversity and the circular economy.
In 2026 he co-organised and managed the TCD Environmental Hermeneutics summer school, focused on ecological responsibility and the interaction of theology, religion and science.
Onyewuchi brings a strong research grounding in methodology, data analysis and evidence synthesis — with the ability to translate findings into actionable outcomes. Familiar with policy consultation, agenda setting, implementation and evaluation, he joins alliances with organisations to amplify policy influence and represents AIDI in sectoral policy networks.
When AIDI speaks to policymakers, Onyewuchi's rigour is the reason we are heard. Reach out through the contact page to collaborate.
“Evidence, translated into influence.”
