Every community needs someone who can speak to its young people — and speak for them. At AIDI, that is Gideon Diego, our Youth & Communication Coordinator.
Gideon is a writer, youth worker, public intellectual and community worker. He holds Master's degrees in Theology and Sociology, with wide experience in youth work across communities.
An avid non-fiction writer, his work spans the issues facing the African continent — art, film, politics, religion and music — giving him a rare ability to connect young people's everyday questions to the bigger cultural conversation.
From the UnityStream learning stream to our year-round programmes, Gideon keeps AIDI's youth voice clear, confident and heard. Come and meet him at our next event — or reach out through the contact page.
“Art, film, politics, religion, music — every conversation a young person needs, Gideon helps open.”
