UnityStream in Rome — Inclusive Youth Work with the Magliana Community

From 5 to 7 March 2026, the UnityStream Erasmus+ partnership came together in Rome for the second mobility of the project — with all four partners, from Ireland, Italy, Romania and Türkiye, around the same table to advance the programme.
Hosted by our Italian partner Galileo.it, the Rome mobility centred on Inclusive Youth Work: addressing diversity and equal opportunities, and asking how youth workers can build environments where every young person belongs. Part of the programme was delivered in collaboration with Cooperativa Sociale Magliana Solidale, working directly with the young participants of the Magliana youth aggregation centre.
The Rome days also marked a milestone for the local learning module — 'Exploring European Identity through Digital Media' — which closed with the presentation of participation certificates to the young people who took part. Across February and March, trainer Tito Livio Mongelli led sessions at the Polo Ragazzi 1 of the Magliana/Marconi Youth Aggregation Centre, funded by Rome's Municipio XI, exploring active citizenship, the role of social media in young people's lives, and visual storytelling as a way to champion tolerance, diversity and inclusion.
The Rome module continues locally in May 2026 with further youth training sessions on 'Combating discrimination and promoting equality by creating an inclusive environment with the help of digital media' — carrying the mobility's learning back into the community.
Next, the stream flows east: Module 3 — Media Production for Amplifying Marginalised Voices — travels to Tokat, Türkiye, on 2–4 July 2026.
“Combating discrimination and promoting equality by creating an inclusive environment with the help of digital media.”
